You know those moments in life that you meet someone that you know is about to change your whole career? Shooting with Van has opened so many doors for me in the past year. He is a true artist that I admire and a business man that I look up to. I have had the privilege of collaborating with him for his brand V/SUAL Apparel for a Holiday 2014 capsule collection and also for special projects in Pacsun stores nationwide. There aren't enough good things I can say about this guy, but then again, no words are necessary. His work speaks for itself.
Derick G was one of those photographers that I was always scared to shoot with. When I finally did, I was shocked to find that not only did we create amazing photos together, but that him and I would become good friends and that he would be one of the few people in the industry to support me in everything that I do with my fitness brand. To this day, Derick remains to be one of the most innovative thinkers that I know.
Martin emailed me about collaborating in 2014 when I was heading out to LA for the Fit and Thick Tour in June. I was impressed by his portfolio so I agreed and we met on my last day in the city. I love the way Martin shoots because I like to dance when I model. I like to convey an emotion with my expressions and movements and Martin allows me to do that. Looking through our sets you can almost see the movement in each photo and how they're not held poses. Martin and I have a few prints available for sale, click the shop tab to check them out.
Andre was a talented and respected photographer in South Florida. We first worked together in a workshop in 2012 and began shooting frequently. He always asked me about my future. He wanted to know what my plan was and where I wanted to take my career. He provoked thought in me and thus a plan. He saw success in my future when even I didn't see it myself. He passed away in 2013 but his work remains at the core of my portfolio.
To the man who believed I would be something when no one else did, I hope that you rest in peace and that your work will live forever. Thank you for being a friend and thank you for pushing me towards the path I am on today.
Shooting with Erika was what sparked my entire modeling career. She asked me to shoot for her portfolio when she was first starting her photography career and its been amazing to watch her grow. She is not only a talented artist but a great friend and shooting with her always show me in a different light.
Eddie was one of the first photographers who ever shot me and this set was what gained me momentum with my career. I still catch these photos circulating from time to time. I remember being so nervous during this shoot but I love looking back at this time in my life when I was learning my body and facial expressions while modeling.
Some of my favorite work is by Marcus because he always shoots me with an artistic perspective. Its important to step out of your comfort zone in order to grow and progress especially in this industry.
Shooting with Nick was definitely a step out of my comfort zone but I am pleased to say that the outcome of our shoot was a mix between our two styles. He's an extremely talented videographer and he got to shoot some clips of me during our shoot that are posted on his youtube.
I've worked with Troy on a few projects and its always a good vibe. His approach is easy going and unique and I enjoy creating with him. He shot the photos for the 2015 "Stay Fit Within" Tour and they're my favorite fitness photos that I've shot to date.
